6 Tips to Have a Glowing Skin in Summer

Summer is a wonderful time of the year, but the sun and heat can take a toll on your skin, hair and body. Skin may damage due to the over expose of sun rays. That doesn’t means you should stay indoors, with little care and a few precautions, you can enjoy summer to the fullest. Here are some tips to follow to have a glowing skin in summer.

1. Lip Care

Use a lip sunscreen with SPF (Sun Protection Factor) agent even if you’re putting lipstick on, too. Apply almond or coconut oil which contains vitamins and fatty acid in order to retain moisture on lips.

2. Remember to Take Care of Hair

The beating sun will hit your hair hard, but there are a number of sprays containing SPF that you can put on after you wash your hair. Don’t over wash your hair as this remove the oils that naturally protect it.

3. Moisturize and Nourish with Oils

Elbows, feet, and ankles can get very dry, so try avocado oil to keep them healthy and smooth. Avocado oil not only moisturizer but also has nourishing properties as it contains vitamin E. Almond oil can also be used as it contains Vitamin E and B with essential proteins, minerals and healthy fats.

4. Be Kind to Your Face

Chemical peels, creams, Scrubs and other products containing glycolic acids and retinoids should not be used if you spend a lot of time in the sun. This makes skin very sensitive and cause more damage. Apply coconut oil daily on your face to protect from Sun rays during summer.

5. You are What you Eat

Your skin requires vitamins and minerals to stay healthy, so get the freshest fruits and vegetables from your local market. Foods rich in antioxidants and proteins, such as fresh produce vegetables and fruits, fish and eggs can stimulate collagen growth, which keeps the skin elastic and helps to prevent wrinkles.

6. Drink Plenty of Water

The beating sun can dry your skin and make you sweat more, so keep hydrated by drinking plenty of water. If you’re active, you need to drink at least 8 glasses during the day. Drinking much water keeps our body healthy.
