Provigil is a brand name of Modafinil which is considered one of the strongest and safest analeptic drugs. This pharmacological product has been developed to increase the mental activity and treat narcolepsy.
Provigil improves memory, enhances general perception, reaction and cognitive abilities. It has a mild effect unlike amphetamines, and helps to be awake for a long time and fall asleep easily after the end of the action.
The mechanism of the action of Provigil consists in the stimulation of the central nervous system, brain sections, and respiratory center. As a result, there is a release of the hormones which improve the work of all organs: brain, cardiovascular system, and others.
Unlike other psychostimulants (amphetamines, caffeine, cocaine, and others), Provigil is well tolerated and seldom causes side effects. The period of action of Provigil is restricted by several hours, and the medicine does not cause euphoria. Using the medicines does not cause a medical addiction, and therefore Provigil is often prescribed both adults, and teenagers.
