When you strength train and build muscle, your metabolic rate increases, which will help you to lose fat much faster.
Proteins play an important role in building muscles and repairing your body’s wear and tear. Besides, proteins make you feel full for longer periods of time and help in weight loss. This could be a long-term solution to the question “why am I not losing weight?” So be sure to include protein-rich foods like eggs, tofu, lentils, legumes, fish and chicken in your daily diet.
This problem occurs only if your thyroid is extremely underactive. In this case, you will also find other symptoms including hair fall, fatigue, dry skin and depression. In most cases, thyroid-gland functioning can only affect your metabolic rate by about 10 per cent.
Once you undergo treatment for thyroid, your metabolism is restored to normal. So don’t let thyroid stop you from tackling weight issues.
